Fudgy Flourless Chocolate Brownies

A deliciously fudgy brownie made without flour or grains.

 80 g melted butter
 80 g peanut butter or almond butter
 35 g cocoa or cacao
 135 g ground almonds
 2 large eggs
 80 ml maple syrup
 pinch of salt
 60 g dark chocolate chips
 60 g chopped walnuts

Preheat the oven to 160 degrees centigrade (fan-assisted oven)

Grease and line a 20cm by 20cm baking dish

In a bowl mix the butter and nut butter together until combined.

Add the cocoa, ground almonds, eggs, syrup and salt. Stir well.

Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts

Place the mixture in the baking tin then smooth down the top

Bake for 15-20 minutes (depending on your preferred level of fudginess!) then remove from the oven and cool a little before placing in the fridge to cool fully

Remove from fridge and slice into 8 squares
